Target 4.C. Boosting Teacher Qualifications through International Cooperation

By 2030, substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers, including through international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries, especially least developed countries and small island developing States.


Project 1: Train the Trainer - Online Teacher Training Program


Train the Trainer - Online Teacher Training Program

  • Specific: Train 100 master trainers in pedagogy and curriculum development for primary education in five least developed countries (LDCs) by December 2025.

  • Measurable: Track the number of trainers completing the program and their successful certification. Monitor the number of teachers they train subsequently.

  • Achievable: Partner with established educational institutions with online learning expertise.

  • Result-Oriented: Equip master trainers with the skills to effectively train future teachers.

  • Time-Bound: Complete the program by December 2025.

Impact Assessment: Conduct surveys among participating LDCs to measure the increase in the proportion of primary school teachers with minimum qualifications after a two-year period.

Impact Assessment: Compare the proportion of qualified teachers remaining in rural schools after two years between program participants and a control group.
