Sneh Foundation Logo

Founded in 2011 by Dr. Pankaj Bohra, SNEH Foundation has become one of the best NGO for poor children dedicated itself to empower the lives of underprivileged children and communities in India. Operating under the vision to provide equitable education opportunities and awareness about health and nutrition so we can say that SNEH has become a symbol of hope for many.

SNEH's Holistic Approach: Education, Nutrition, and Health

SNEH Foundation's initiatives revolve around three core areas like Education, Nutrition and Health (Arogya). These initiatives aim to eradicate malnutrition, provide quality pre-primary education, and address health issues through comprehensive community intervention and medical guidance.

1. Nutrition: Combating Malnutrition

SNEH Foundation works with TATA Motors on a project called COMAL to fight child malnutrition in Pimpri-Chinchwad's slums. They use a special feeding program, much like one from UNICEF/WHO, that includes educating the community and giving special therapeutic food to malnourished children. This has really helped improve these children's health.

2. Education: Fostering Learning

SNEH's education programs aim to give easy access to good early schooling. The SNEH Community Pre-Schools started with just 25 kids and now help hundreds. They make sure these children can move on to primary school, mostly through the Right to Education admissions.

3. Health: Ensuring Well-being

SNEH Foundation works with Wipro Cares on the Vatsalya project to help young girls and mothers in poor areas. This project connects care in the community with care in health facilities. It improves health by using government health plans and gives ongoing support.

SNEH’s innovative projects have made considerable impacts:

- Addressing Malnutrition: More than 2173 children from slum areas have been supported since 2014, with a significant majority reaching healthy nutritional statuses.

- Educational Outreach: Over 1855 children have benefited from SNEH's pre-school programs, with a high transition rate into primary education.

- Health Initiatives: The health of over 1200 adolescents and mothers has been directly improved through regular medical check-ups and interventions, particularly for anemia.
